Specification Notes for Architects and Interior Designers

The following definitions and conditions apply to all product data sheets, sizing tables, and installation guides on this site. They are intended to prevent misinterpretation when specifying shading systems for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.

Measurement Tolerances

All dimensions listed in technical sheets refer to the finished product size, not the rough opening. Allow a minimum of 10 mm clearance on each side for roller blinds and 15 mm for external awnings. Field measurements should be verified by a qualified installer before fabrication.

Shading Coefficient Data

Solar heat gain coefficient values are calculated under standard conditions with the fabric fully extended and no gap between the fabric and the glazing. Actual performance varies with orientation, glass type, and local climate. Values are intended for comparative selection, not as a final energy model input.

Aluminum Profile Specifications

Profile dimensions refer to the bare extruded aluminum before surface treatment. Powder coating adds approximately 60–80 microns to the final thickness. Thermal break specifications assume the use of polyamide strips with a minimum width of 14 mm for residential applications and 20 mm for commercial facades.

Motorization Load Ratings

Tubular motor torque ratings are based on the weight of the blind system including fabric, bottom bar, and any intermediate brackets. For fabrics wider than 2.5 meters or heavier than 8 kg per square meter, consult the load calculation table before selecting a motor. End switches must be adjusted after installation.

Fabric Performance Claims

Blackout ratings assume the fabric is installed in a side-channel or cassette system with no visible light gaps. Screen fabric openness factors are measured at the fabric surface and do not account for frame shadows or building overhangs. Translucent fabrics are not recommended for rooms requiring complete darkness.

Installation Conditions

Warranty coverage assumes installation on structurally sound surfaces with adequate anchoring. For external awnings, wind load calculations must follow local building codes. Motorized systems require a dedicated electrical circuit and should not be connected to lighting circuits without proper separation.
