Clarifications for architects and installers
The following definitions and conditions apply to all technical data, product sheets and installation guidelines on this site. They are intended to remove ambiguity when comparing systems or preparing tenders.
Shading coefficient values
All solar heat gain coefficients (SHGC) are measured with the fabric fully extended and at a 90° angle to the glazing. Values refer to the complete system, including frame and edge gaps, unless stated otherwise.
Profile dimensions
Aluminium profile widths are nominal and refer to the visible face. Tolerances follow EN 755-9. For structural calculations, always use the actual section properties provided in the technical datasheet, not the nominal size.
Motor torque ratings
Torque figures are given in Newton-metres (Nm) and refer to the motor output shaft. Maximum fabric weight and tube diameter must be checked against the torque curve. Do not oversize without verifying the drive tube deflection.
Fabric classification
Blackout, screen and translucent categories refer to the fabric's light transmission and openness factor. Actual performance can vary with colour and weave. We recommend a mock-up for south-facing facades.
Installation context
All mounting guidelines assume a solid concrete or steel substrate. For drywall or timber frames, additional reinforcement is required. Fixing spacing and edge distances follow the provided installation drawings.
Warranty conditions
Warranty coverage applies to manufacturing defects only. Damage from improper installation, salt-air exposure or chemical cleaning agents is excluded. Always follow the maintenance guide for your specific product line.
General note: The information provided is for selection guidance. Final specifications must be confirmed with the project engineer. Dimensions and performance data are subject to change without notice. For project-specific requirements, contact our technical office.
